Galax has introduced the GeForce RTX 5080 HOF Extreme, the first model in its class to feature two 12V-2x6 power connectors. Despite the dual ports, users can only utilize one at a time, with a magnetic cover provided to conceal the unused connector.
The card offers two BIOS modes: an OC mode with a 400 W power limit and a Gaming mode set to 360 W. It requires a power supply of at least 850 W and includes an adapter for three 8-pin connectors to a single 12V-2x6 port.
The GPU reaches clock speeds of 2805 MHz in OC mode and 2665 MHz in Gaming mode. The hardware features 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, a 256-bit bus, and a 20+4-phase VRM power delivery system.
The cooling system consists of four fans, a large vapor chamber, and eight heat pipes. The card measures 347.5 x 158 x 79.1 mm and includes a support stand. Additional features include gold-plated video outputs and Swarovski crystal accents.
The Galax GeForce RTX 5080 HOF Extreme is currently available in China for ¥19 999, which is approximately $2995. Information regarding a potential release in other markets has not been disclosed.
