Fetch.ai has released the A2A Outbound Adapter, a tool designed to enable communication between its native autonomous agents and external systems using the A2A (Agent-to-Agent) Protocol. This standard is associated with Google Cloud and facilitates agent discovery, message exchange, and task coordination.

The adapter is integrated into the uAgents-adapter package, specifically versions 0.6.0 and 0.6.2. It requires Python 3.10 or higher. Developers can choose between two configuration modes: SingleA2AAdapter for one server connection and MultiA2AAdapter for simultaneous multi-port operations.

Key technical features include chat protocol forwarding, automated agent registration, health monitoring, and keyword-based routing. The tool also incorporates a payment bridging mechanism that converts A2A and AP2 mandates into the Fetch.ai Payment Protocol, as demonstrated in a Skyfire-based cart store example.

Development of the adapter occurred throughout 2025 and 2026, with initial features added to the repository in early March 2026. The upcoming version 1.0.0 of the A2A Protocol is expected in March 2026, bringing multi-tenancy support and breaking changes.
