FC Barcelona has launched the Barça Fan Lab platform, built on the Cardano blockchain in collaboration with technology partner Andamio. The project received financial support from Cardano’s Catalyst Fund 13 grant program.
Users access the platform through the existing BarçaID system. Upon login, the system creates a personal Cardano wallet for the user to store verifiable digital credentials earned through participation.
The program focuses on four main areas: club history and values, sustainability and inclusion, physical-to-digital community engagement, and experimental Web3 applications such as loyalty systems and collectibles.
This initiative follows the 2025 launch of Barça.Pass, a Web3 wallet developed by Barça Media with Futureverse, which was accessible to over 11 million BarçaID users. At the time of writing, the Cardano native token ADA traded at $0.2526.
