Fairshake, a political action committee supported by Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz, has announced its support for 32 candidates running for the US House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The group plans to back 19 Republican and 13 Democratic incumbents who previously voted in favor of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in 2025.
The committee intends to spend a total of $6 million on six specific candidates, with each receiving $1 million. The Democratic recipients include Janelle Bynum, Derek Tran, and Steven Horsford, while the Republican list features French Hill, Bill Huizenga, and Bryan Steil. These funds are part of a broader strategy to influence the upcoming election cycle.
Overall, Fairshake expects to allocate more than $100 million toward advertising for House and Senate races. This includes a commitment of at least $30 million to support Republican Jon Husted in the Ohio Senate race. As of August, the organization reported holding $122 million in cash to further its goal of building a pro-crypto caucus.
The legislative focus of these endorsements remains the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which aimed to define regulatory roles for US financial agencies but stalled in the Senate. According to Public Citizen, the PAC had already spent $82 million on political advertising by June 2026, out of an estimated $189 million total industry-aligned funding.
