At the TechCrunch Disrupt event, industry experts discussed strategies for startup growth during the initial 90 days of commercial operations. Key speakers included Luke Arno from Lovable, Ben Broca of Polsia, and Tomasz Tunguz from Theory Ventures.
Luke Arno emphasized that early revenue does not necessarily indicate readiness to scale. Founders should prioritize repeatable go-to-market strategies over rapid, inconsistent sales tactics to ensure long-term product-market fit.
Lovable, an AI app-building startup, currently holds a valuation exceeding $13 billion. The company has secured over $700 million in total funding and reports an annual recurring revenue surpassing $600 million.
Tomasz Tunguz noted that the startup ecosystem currently sees significantly higher capital flow compared to 2008. Seed rounds can now range from $5 million to $500 million, increasing the pressure on founders to execute quickly.
Ben Broca, the sole employee of the AI platform Polsia, highlighted the importance of direct customer engagement. He suggests that founders should prioritize community building and consistent communication to maintain retention.
