Experian has launched Agent OS, a platform capability designed to integrate risk, identity, and decision-making tools into enterprise workflows. The system is not a standalone product but a supporting infrastructure for commercial offerings, such as incorporating model risk management into governance, risk, and compliance systems, as well as automating employee onboarding and verification.
The company has partnered with ServiceNow Inc. as its first deployment partner. Through this collaboration, ServiceNow agents will connect to Experian's Ascend analytics and development platform, allowing customers to embed trusted data and governance capabilities directly into their existing business processes.
To ensure security in a highly regulated industry, Experian implemented a common gateway for traffic control, strict identity and access management, and adversarial testing where agents test each other for compliance. The company follows a principle of minimum access, granting agents only the authority required for their specific tasks.
The platform supports a mix of commercial, open-weight, and open-source models, utilizing tools like Amazon Web Services Inc.'s Bedrock. The architecture includes a semantic layer and knowledge graphs to link distributed data assets. The system can operate via a user interface or as a 'headless' service behind other applications.
Human involvement remains mandatory for major regulated decisions, maintaining a 'human-in-the-loop' approach. Experian is also implementing mandatory employee training on responsible AI use and prompting to prepare its workforce for the shift toward agentic AI.
