Evotor has developed the EvoPoint payment terminal, which features an integrated neural network for voice-controlled order processing. The system is designed to operate in noisy environments, such as cafes, by utilizing speech-to-text technology to identify items, modifiers, and actions directly from customer input.
The terminal architecture relies on an Android-based orchestrator that manages communication between local applications and the POS system using AIDL and UART protocols. It employs a customer-facing screen to visualize recognized orders and prompt users for clarification if the input is ambiguous or unrecognized.
EvoPoint has undergone field testing at the Gastreet festival in 2025 and 2026. Beyond order management, the device collects customer feedback, which is aggregated into statistics within the Evotor personal account, tracking metrics such as conversion rates across different locations and employees.
Future development plans include integrating the EvoBonus and EvoSell services for basket analysis and personalized recommendations. Additionally, the company intends to release an Open API, enabling businesses to create custom voice-based scenarios for their specific operational needs.
