Everpure Inc. is shifting its infrastructure strategy to support a mix of virtual machines, Kubernetes, and AI workloads. According to senior director of product management Cody Hosterman, the focus of infrastructure administrators has moved from managing virtual machines to prioritizing datasets and the applications that consume them.
The company is aligning its data platform with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 to facilitate these hybrid environments. This integration aims to help organizations manage diverse workloads more effectively as they scale their operations.
Hosterman noted that many customers currently use public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to test configurations. Once these setups are validated, companies transition to right-sizing their own data center infrastructure to meet specific business objectives.
Everpure warns against the common mistake of purchasing servers and graphics processing units without a clear business plan. Hosterman emphasizes that AI should be viewed as a tool to achieve defined business outcomes rather than an end goal in itself.
