Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt holds a stake of nearly 1% in AI startup Anthropic, acquired during a 2021 Series A funding round that valued the company at $461 million. Depending on the final IPO valuation, this investment could be worth between $10 billion and $20 billion.

Anthropic recently completed a Series H funding round in May 2026, raising $65 billion at a post-money valuation of $965 billion. Major investors in this round included Amazon and Google, with the latter holding approximately 14% of the company.

Ahead of the upcoming public listing, market discussions suggest a potential valuation for Anthropic ranging from $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion. The company reported revenue of $16.8 billion for the third quarter of 2026, marking sequential growth of 45% to 46%.

Marketing for the IPO is anticipated to commence on November 9, 2026. Trading of the company's shares is expected to begin either before the US Thanksgiving holiday or by the end of the year.
