ERA has released a companion mobile application for iOS and Android that integrates with its air-gapped hardware wallet. The software enables portfolio management, asset swaps, and dApp access across 14 blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Private keys remain on the hardware device, which signs transactions via QR or NFC.
The application features integrated tools for buying and selling crypto, cross-chain bridging via Rango, and WalletConnect support. Security measures include biometric authentication, screen privacy, and a network guard to prevent incorrect chain transfers. The software also includes protection against address poisoning and monitors unused token approvals.
Before the launch, the company commissioned a full white-box security audit from the cybersecurity firm Cure53. The audit covered the mobile app, API, transaction construction, and signing flows. All identified findings were addressed by the development team and subsequently retested by the auditors.
The update introduces enhancements to ERA Lens, a transaction-decoding system that translates raw data into human-readable language. It now supports new transaction formats such as EIP-7702 and ERC-7821, and includes automated scam-warning displays. The system is tested against known attack patterns from incidents like WazirX and Radiant.
New hardware capabilities include Bitcoin multisig support, allowing the device to act as a cosigner in 2-of-3 arrangements. Users can now store TOTP authentication codes directly on the device for two-factor authentication. Additionally, the hardware now supports a verification process to confirm the authenticity of the unit.
