Enso CEO Connor Howe argues that abstraction layers are essential to unify fragmented tokenized stock markets. These layers allow users to trade assets across different issuers and blockchains without needing to manage cross-network transfers or distinguish between multiple versions of the same stock.

The company provides infrastructure that enables financial applications to integrate crypto-based services. For instance, Ether.fi utilizes Enso to facilitate buying, selling, and holding assets, as well as using them as collateral for loans within DeFi protocols without requiring users to understand underlying technical processes.

Howe emphasized that for institutional adoption, security and reliability are paramount. He warned that discrepancies between API quotes and final execution prices can undermine customer trust. Consequently, institutions must prioritize integration audits and contingency planning to ensure secure execution.
