The Russian e-commerce platform Ensi, developed by Greensight, has completed the migration of its Catalog Cache service to the Go programming language. This follows the earlier transition of the Api Gateway component to the same technology stack as part of a broader platform efficiency strategy.

Performance testing indicates that the Go-based Catalog Cache operates 1.5 to 2 times faster than its PHP predecessor under similar loads. Furthermore, the service now consumes 2 to 10 times fewer resources, while its peak load capacity has increased by at least 2.5 times. These improvements directly reduce infrastructure costs.

The previously migrated Api Gateway demonstrated a twofold reduction in CPU usage and a tenfold decrease in RAM consumption. Consequently, the company has marked the PHP versions of both services as deprecated and now mandates the use of Go-based implementations for all new deployments.

Ensi plans to continue migrating additional components to the Go stack. The development team has prioritized services handling complex business logic, specifically those related to order management and logistics, for the next phase of the platform's technical transition.
