Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic has launched Pulse, an AI-powered tool designed for law enforcement officers. The product allows police to input wallet addresses or transaction hashes to receive a financial summary in plain language within seconds, eliminating the need for specialized blockchain expertise during field investigations.

The tool is intended for use during arrests, searches, or investigations into scams. If a case requires further analysis, officers can forward their findings, including field notes and case numbers, to Elliptic’s forensic-tracing platform or internal agency systems with a single click. The company emphasizes that the system maintains human oversight, with officers retaining final judgment.

Pulse utilizes the same intelligence database as Elliptic’s professional platform, which monitors over 99% of cryptocurrency trading volume and supports more than 65 blockchains. According to CTO Jackson Hull, the product was developed to address the increasing prevalence of cryptocurrency across all levels of law enforcement agencies, rather than just specialized units.

The company recently published a governance framework for agentic AI, focusing on model transparency and human control. This launch follows a significant funding round earlier this year, where Elliptic raised $120 million from investors including Nasdaq and Deutsche Bank. The firm’s research has previously supported major operations by the Secret Service and the Department of Justice.
