The Elar PlanScan A0 is a new wide-format scanning system designed for high-resolution digitization of archival, museum, and library materials, including maps and blueprints up to A0 size. The device features a linear sensor capable of 16 line pairs per millimeter, ensuring high detail across the entire scan area.
The scanner includes an automated book cradle with independent motorized supports, accommodating materials up to 30 cm thick and weighing up to 50 kg. A pressure control system uses eight sensors to manage document handling, while an integrated A0 glass plate can be adjusted to flatten documents during the process.
Equipped with an LED lighting system featuring a 93% color rendering index, the unit avoids UV and infrared radiation. The system operates on Linux with pre-installed ScanImage software, which is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software, allowing for image processing and management directly on the workstation.
Elar manufactures the equipment at its own facilities, ensuring independence from foreign components. Each unit undergoes a 50-hour stress test before release. The company provides direct warranty and service support for customers across the country.
