Creators are now encouraged to label content sources to distinguish between artistic works and real-life footage. Douyin is also introducing an AI-based fact-checking portal to help users verify information.
The platform is establishing a regular debunking mechanism using official accounts and media partnerships. It will also strictly monitor the misuse of AIGC by identifying AI-generated content and cracking down on malicious marketing accounts and staged videos.
To foster a friendlier environment, Douyin is clarifying its definitions and governance measures regarding cyberbullying. The company is using AI large models to simulate user groups, generate controversy indices for content, and manage extreme viewpoints.
