Doubao mobile assistant has updated its list of restricted applications, proactively limiting interaction capabilities for financial services. This restriction covers banking, trust services, payment platforms, internet finance, and credit-related software.
The assistant, which launched its consumer version on September 14, operates under the Screen Automation Execution Protocol (SAEP). This framework establishes a transparency mechanism for cross-application operations, allowing developers to define how their software interacts with AI agents.
Following a 30-day public notice period that ended on October 14, the company began granting third-party applications access to screen automation. The current exclusion list includes major institutions such as the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, and Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.
Developers retain the ability to opt out of automation at any time. The company processes these requests within three business days, ensuring that agents will not perform operations on applications that have explicitly declared their refusal to participate.
