The consumer version of the Doubao mobile assistant has officially launched, focusing on stability and user interaction. The assistant supports multiple wake-up methods, including voice commands optimized for noisy environments and a dedicated AI button with integrated fingerprint authentication for secure task execution.

New features include screen-based Q&A, allowing the AI to process visual content directly without manual screenshots. The assistant can search local data such as photo galleries, text messages, and notes. It also integrates Feishu Miaoji capabilities to enhance recording and retrieval of specific information from past interactions.

A key addition is the Screen Automation Execution Protocol (SAEP), currently in a 30-day public comment period. This framework allows third-party app developers to define boundaries for AI automation, giving them the authority to permit or block the assistant from performing actions within their applications.

The assistant employs a tiered Agent protection system to manage operational scope and data privacy. The first device to feature this consumer version is the Nubia NaviX Ultra, which is currently available for pre-order and scheduled for release on September 16.
