A dormant Bitcoin wallet has resumed activity by withdrawing 3,009 BTC from the Binance exchange. According to data from Lookonchain and Arkham Intelligence, the transaction is valued at approximately $228 million.
The wallet previously deposited 5,699 BTC to Binance when the price was near $89,000. The current withdrawal occurred while Bitcoin was trading between $75,000 and $76,000, marking a partial buyback of the previously sold assets.
The 3,009 BTC were moved in five separate tranches, including one batch of 437 BTC and four batches of approximately 643 BTC each. This activity represents the first significant on-chain movement for the address in over a year.
The owner of the wallet remains unidentified, with no public link to any specific fund or company. The address still holds roughly 2,690 BTC on the exchange from its prior deposits.
