DOD Solution, an Estonian developer of onboard autonomy systems for unmanned platforms, has secured €1.8 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment will be used to scale the production of its next-generation AURA SBC computer and enhance its AURA OS software stack.
The round attracted a diverse group of investors, including Angel One Fund, Better Angle, Defence Builder Fund, Network VC, Newfund, UAID Fund, WildField Ventures, and 4C-Next Holding AG. Canadian drone firm Draganfly also joined the financing as a strategic partner.
Founded in 2023, the company specializes in AI-powered autonomy for defense applications. Its flagship product, AURA AI, provides autonomous navigation, target recognition, and tracking, which remain functional even when GPS or communication links are compromised.
The technology is designed for integration into various unmanned aerial vehicles, such as FPV and interceptor drones. The system has already seen combat use in Ukraine, and the company is now working to ensure its hardware meets NDAA-compliance standards for international markets.
DOD Solution maintains partnerships with Lantronix, Axelera AI, and Defsecintel Solutions to support its expansion. The new capital will facilitate the company's growth into North American and European markets by accelerating integrations with platform manufacturers.
