Modder Valery has integrated the leaked DLSS 5 upscaling technology into the classic arcade game Pac-Man. The process involved running the game through the MAME emulator and using ReShade to inject the upscaler into the graphics pipeline, alongside RenoDX for parameter adjustment.

The implementation utilizes a 4x Multipass technique, which the creator notes is necessary because a 1x pass is ineffective for older titles. Valery tested four distinct rendering modes: Natural, Default, Cinematic, and Denoise, each producing different visual distortions on the game's characters and environment.

The current build of DLSS 5 used in the project is 150MB in size. According to the creator, this version lacks sufficient temporal context and is considered undertrained compared to what is expected for the final release, which will likely feature a more mature model and a larger file size.
