A recent survey by DigiCert Inc. reveals that while 87% of organizations are planning or testing post-quantum cryptography, only 7% have fully deployed quantum-safe or hybrid protections. This highlights a significant gap in enterprise infrastructure security as current cryptographic algorithms face potential obsolescence.

DigiCert will host its World Quantum Readiness Day 2026 virtual event on September 17. The program, covered by theCUBE, focuses on inventorying cryptographic assets, prioritizing migration strategies, and evaluating quantum-safe algorithms. Industry experts from Microsoft, AWS, Thales, and others will participate in the discussions.

Beyond quantum security, DigiCert is expanding its AI Trust architecture. The company introduced a unified trust layer in April and launched the AI Agent Passport, a tool designed to define access boundaries and validate the integrity of autonomous AI agents within enterprise environments.

The event theme, From Blueprint to Build, emphasizes the transition from awareness to implementation. Research indicates that 75% of enterprises currently use multiple disparate tools across their development lifecycles, adding complexity to the integration of automated certificate management and security validation.
