DeepSeek has officially integrated web search and scraping capabilities into its API. These tools, which utilize the company's proprietary search engine, are designed to provide real-time web content for AI agents and RAG applications.

The service includes two primary interfaces: the Search API, which returns structured results for specific queries, and the Fetch API, which retrieves individual web pages as Markdown text containing titles and body content. Both interfaces operate as raw JSON APIs.

Starting November 1, 2026, at 00:00 Beijing time, DeepSeek will implement a billing model for these tools. The cost is set at ¥5 per 1,000 successful requests. Currently, these calls remain free of charge.
