Daptic, a developer of software for product compliance, has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Canvas Ventures. This investment brings the company's total funding to approximately $22 million. Rebecca Lynn from Canvas Ventures will join the Daptic board of directors.

The Daptic platform is designed to help manufacturers manage regulatory requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. It monitors over 10,000 regulatory sources globally, using AI for initial analysis while relying on human experts for final interpretations. The system integrates legal, regulatory, and engineering teams.

The company targets manufacturers of regulated physical products, including those in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and medical device sectors. Large Fortune 200 companies are currently among its users. New customers can receive their first regulatory report within two days of platform setup.

CEO Baptiste Bouvier stated that the company plans to use the new capital to further integrate its platform into the product development process. The startup aims to establish a new category called Product Compliance Lifecycle Management, which treats regulatory intelligence as a core input for design from the very beginning.
