The attacker behind the Cysic bridge exploit transferred approximately $744 000 in ETH and BNB to the Tornado Cash mixer. This move followed an offer from the Cysic Foundation, which proposed a 10% bounty to the hacker in exchange for the return of 275.872 ETH, valued at roughly $665 000.
According to data from PeckShield, the perpetrator moved 300 ETH and 30.4 BNB to the privacy tool. The incident originated on Saturday when the hacker exploited a bridge vulnerability to mint 10 million CYS tokens on the BNB Smart Chain. Cysic responded by suspending the bridge and blacklisting the address, which successfully froze about 2.8 million of the minted tokens.
The Cysic Foundation confirmed that its mainnet and user wallet assets remained secure throughout the incident. Despite the foundation's public offer for a bounty, the attacker proceeded to move the funds through the mixer. As of the latest reports, the hacker's Ethereum wallet balance had dropped to $45, and the foundation has not provided further updates on recovery efforts.
