Fintech group Cyberbird, which operates the lending services Privet Sosed, Finters, and Probalance, has tested the impact of bonus incentives on loan conversion rates. The company conducted a pilot project in collaboration with a major retail chain to evaluate how gamification affects customer behavior during the loan application process.
The team utilized A/B testing to analyze the results. New users were split into two groups, with the test group receiving a banner offer to participate in a promotion. Participants who completed their loan application received a code to activate loyalty points from the retail partner.
According to Cyberbird, the conversion rate from loan application to fund disbursement in the test group was 2 percentage points higher than in the control group after the first month. This pilot marked the company's first attempt at using such loyalty mechanics to influence the customer journey.
Following the successful pilot, Cyberbird intends to scale this experience and test further bonus mechanisms across various stages of the sales funnel. The company views these collaborations as a way to test new marketing tools and measure their effectiveness through concrete data.
