On October 8, the infrastructure provider Curator experienced a technical failure that impacted several major Russian media outlets. Users reported issues accessing websites such as RBC, Vedomosti, RIA Novosti, Kommersant, Vesti, and Interfax, with pages failing to load or experiencing significant delays.

Curator stated that the disruption began at 15:30 Moscow time during scheduled network configuration updates. The company identified human error as the primary cause of the incident, which resulted in the temporary unavailability of a network segment and affected a portion of its client base.

The provider managed to localize the issue within 30 minutes, and full network functionality was restored by 16:04. Curator is currently conducting an internal investigation and plans to release a detailed report on the incident. The company also committed to providing compensation to affected clients based on existing service level agreements.
