Crypto-aligned political action committees have invested over $52 million to oppose Senator Sherrod Brown in the 2026 Ohio Senate race. The Fairshake PAC affiliate, Defend American Jobs, increased its spending to $46.6 million, significantly exceeding its initial September plan of $30 million.

The Digital Freedom Fund, established by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, contributed an additional $3 million this week, bringing its total expenditure in the Ohio race to over $5.9 million. These funds support Republican candidate Jon Husted and target Brown, who previously chaired the Senate Banking Committee.

Fairshake’s current spending surpasses its 2024 efforts, when it allocated $41 million to the same contest. Beyond Ohio, the Defend American Jobs PAC has directed more than $6.7 million toward opposing independent candidate Dan Osborn in the Nebraska Senate race.

The industry’s broader influence efforts include the Fellowship committee, which reported spending over $11 million between August 2025 and August 2026. As of January, Fairshake held $193 million in cash reserves to support candidates favoring pro-crypto policies in the 2026 elections.
