Crypto industry groups invested approximately $176 million into more than 100 election races during the current cycle. Major financiers of the Fairshake political network include Coinbase, Ripple, and Andreessen Horowitz.

The midterm elections will determine the control of 435 House seats and 35 Senate races. Currently, Republicans hold 219 seats in the House and 53 in the Senate. Prediction markets currently favor Democrats to win both chambers.

The election outcomes will influence the future of the CLARITY Act, which aims to divide crypto market oversight between the SEC and the CFTC. The bill previously failed to advance in the Senate on September 15 with a 49–50 vote.

Specific races serve as indicators of industry influence, such as the Ohio Senate contest where groups spent over $50 million opposing Sherrod Brown. In Nebraska, Fairshake spent nearly $11 million supporting Pete Ricketts.

Analysts suggest that Bitcoin price movements are currently driven more by institutional ETF flows, market liquidity, and interest rate expectations rather than election results. The industry previously secured a stablecoin framework via the GENIUS Act in July 2025.
