According to the Q3 2026 hiring trends report from CryptoJobsList, the number of monthly job postings on the platform rose from 382 in July to 1,241 in September. This figure represents the highest monthly volume recorded in 2026.
In contrast, the number of job applications decreased by approximately 27% during the same period, falling from 26,728 in July to 19,605 in September. The number of active hiring companies fluctuated, starting at 107 in July, dropping to 73 in August, and reaching 125 in September.
Richard Botley, research and marketing lead at CryptoJobsList, noted a shift in strategy among crypto firms from cost-cutting toward aggressive hiring. This trend is attributed to increased institutional interest, partnerships with traditional finance, and new venture capital inflows.
The report highlights that the hiring rebound is primarily concentrated among larger companies. Demand remains particularly strong for specialized roles, including protocol developers, compliance leads, and quantitative traders, as the industry enters the fourth quarter.
