Canada Rocket Company (CRC) is investing approximately $30 million to build the Jeremy Hansen Test Facility at London International Airport in Ontario. The 50-acre site will feature up to three vertical and horizontal test stands and a 1,100-square-meter assembly building. The facility is designed for static fire tests of engines with over 1 MN of thrust, comparable to the Falcon 9 first stage.

The company, founded in 2025, is developing a medium-class reusable rocket powered by the E-1 methane-oxygen engine, capable of delivering 12,500 kg to sun-synchronous orbit. The test site aims to validate engine designs before flight integration. CRC plans to fully commission the facility by 2028 and create 40 jobs within the next 18 months.

CRC aims for its first rocket launch in 2032. CEO Hugh Colias estimates the total development cost from startup to first launch at over $600 million, with $23 million already raised. The company intends to address the lack of domestic orbital launch capabilities in Canada, projecting the creation of 1,000 jobs and $1 billion in investments over the next decade.
