According to a River Financial report from October 8, 2026, businesses have acquired 193,000 BTC year-to-date, while individuals remain net sellers of 93,000 BTC. Total corporate holdings now reach 1.64 million BTC, representing 7.8% of the total supply.

Corporate inflows for the year reached $15.7 billion, a decline of approximately two-thirds compared to the same period in 2025. The purchasing activity is highly concentrated, as Strategy and Strive combined added 197,000 BTC, exceeding the total net business purchases.

Strategy alone currently holds 848,000 BTC. Meanwhile, Bitcoin miners have net sold 32,800 BTC this year, primarily to finance investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Individual investors were net sellers of 140,000 BTC in the first half of 2026, but shifted to a net accumulation of 107,000 BTC during the third quarter. River Financial attributes the overall slowdown in corporate treasury strategies to fading momentum following the 2025 market cycle.
