Cori Clinical, a developer of an AI-powered platform for clinical trial design, has raised $4 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Breega, with participation from Enzo, Heartfelt, Together Ventures, and Bynd.

The platform aggregates internal organizational knowledge with external data from sources like the FDA, MHRA, and EMA to create a living blueprint for trials. This approach aims to streamline the creation of protocols, submission packages, and operational plans.

Internal modeling suggests the platform can reduce trial set-up costs by at least 33 percent. Additionally, the company's AI reviewer identified 82 percent of avoidable protocol errors during internal benchmarking.

The startup currently collaborates with two of the world's five largest clinical research organizations and Erasmus MC. Dr. Emma Ogburn has recently joined the leadership team as Chief Clinical Officer.

The company plans to utilize the new capital to scale its delivery capacity, expand its workforce, and enhance the regulatory and clinical intelligence capabilities of its software.
