Ben Lamm, CEO and co-founder of Colossal Biosciences, will speak at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 conference. The event is scheduled for October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Organizers expect over 10 000 attendees, including founders and investors, to participate in more than 250 sessions.
The discussion will focus on the application of AI and synthetic biology in de-extinction efforts. Lamm will address the role of technology in conservation and the ethical implications of engineering natural systems. The session aims to explore how AI tools are currently used to analyze genetic data and model complex biological systems.
Lamm has a background in building companies at the intersection of AI and emerging technologies, including Hypergiant, Conversable, and Chaotic Moon. These previous ventures were acquired by Accenture, LivePerson, and Trive Capital. Currently, he leads Colossal Biosciences in applying these technologies to biodiversity and climate resilience.
Registration for the event is currently open. Attendees can secure passes with savings of up to $200. Additionally, the deadline for companies to book an exhibit table in the Disrupt Expo Hall is September 18.
