Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the company is collaborating with banks and FinTech firms to integrate stablecoins into payment systems. During an interview in Singapore on September 10, Armstrong projected that the current $300 billion stablecoin market could expand tenfold by the end of the decade.

The company is shifting its business model toward an 'Everything Exchange' to reduce reliance on crypto trading volumes. This strategy includes offering prediction markets, perpetual futures, and stock trading, with plans to introduce stock options. Stablecoins accounted for 24% of Coinbase's revenue in the second quarter, compared to 22% in the previous quarter.

Partnerships with Circle, the issuer of USDC, remain central to Coinbase's subscription and services revenue. Armstrong noted that the company captures over half of the economics from USDC. Analysts suggest that increased stablecoin contributions could enhance the durability of the company's top-line growth.

Regarding regulation, Armstrong discussed the Clarity Act, which faces a Senate vote next week. He expressed confidence that even if the legislation does not pass, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission will provide the necessary industry rules within the next few weeks.
