Cohere has released North 2, an update to its enterprise AI platform, through versions 1.14.0 and 1.15.0. The new version introduces persistent memory, allowing AI agents to retain context across sessions, and shared libraries for resource pooling.

The platform now includes expanded administrative roles, such as Library Access Manager and compliance-focused positions, to control resource distribution. Additionally, the update adds advanced analytics, proactive security measures, and support for versioned custom agents.

North is designed for deployment within a company’s own infrastructure, including on-premises, hybrid, and air-gapped environments. It complies with industry standards like GDPR and SOC-2 and is currently used by organizations such as RBC, Dell, and Bell Canada.

The platform, which entered early access in January 2025 and reached general availability in August 2025, is intended for functions like HR, finance, and customer support. Library API access is currently available in beta.
