Designers at Cloud.ru have established a dedicated library of AI components to streamline the development of interfaces for AI agents. This initiative addresses the need for consistent UI elements across 130 cloud services, as the primary design system, Snack UI Kit, did not previously include specialized components for AI interactions.

The team, led by a product owner and two additional designers, manages the entire lifecycle of these components. They define priorities, conduct research, design elements in Figma, and handle implementation. By operating independently from the main design system's backlog, the team avoids long approval delays and accelerates the development process.

The library integrates with the main Snack UI Kit by utilizing its tokens, icons, and guidelines. To automate documentation and coding, the team uses AI agents connected to Figma via MCP and GitLab. These agents assist in creating specifications, writing code, and verifying results against predefined quality standards.

Designers are responsible for the final quality control, including reviewing code in Storybook and addressing feedback from frontend developers. This workflow allows the team to iterate quickly on complex UI elements, such as input fields and action lists, while ensuring they remain compatible with the broader company design standards.
