Clay, a New York-based AI sales automation startup, has secured $115 million in new funding to target Fortune 500 companies. This investment round has brought the company's valuation to $3.1 billion.

The platform automates the research and personalization of sales outreach by integrating data from various sources and using AI to trigger workflows. The company was founded in 2017 and pivoted to go-to-market automation between 2021 and 2022.

Clay currently serves over 10,000 customers, including high-profile clients such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Canva, Intercom, and Rippling. The company has experienced rapid revenue growth, increasing by 6x to 10x over several consecutive years.

Clay expects to reach approximately $100 million in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2025. Total primary funding for the startup now stands at approximately $204 million, with backing from CapitalG (Alphabet), Sequoia, and Meritech.

The company is expanding its network of 'Claygencies' — boutique agencies that manage Clay-powered workflows. New product updates include autonomous AI research agents capable of crawling the web and synthesizing company information.
