Anthropic is finalizing a redesign for the Claude iOS application, incorporating Apple's Liquid Glass design language. The update introduces translucent, fluid materials that reflect background content in real time, replacing traditional opaque panels.
The overhaul also includes simplified in-app navigation, which testers noted improves the flow between settings and conversations. The company is integrating new widgets, shortcuts, and features to complement the updated interface.
The redesign aligns with the release of iOS 27, which became available around September 14, 2026. This operating system version introduced a transparency slider for users to adjust the visual effect of app elements.
Claude joins a list of third-party applications adopting the Liquid Glass aesthetic. Other services that have implemented similar updates include Brave, which released version 1.93 in August 2026, as well as WhatsApp, Reddit, Salesforce, and Darkroom.
