Circle is planning to expand its operations into approximately 40 emerging and developing nations. CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that this move is driven by organic demand from individuals and businesses in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East seeking access to the internet-based economy.

The company currently holds a 25% share of the stablecoin market, while its USDC circulation grew by 19% year-over-year to $73.3 billion in the second quarter. To support its growth, Circle utilized resources including the $400 million acquisition of payment firm Tazapay and a $100 million strategic investment from Binance.

Regulatory developments are supporting the company's strategy, with a federal banking charter secured in July and an ongoing pursuit of a New York trust charter. Additionally, the U.S. stablecoin law, known as the GENIUS Act, is scheduled to take effect in January, which Allaire described as a significant milestone.

Circle is also focusing on the integration of USDC with AI agents for machine-to-machine payments. The company's Arc network has already seen adoption by major institutions, including BlackRock, Visa, and Standard Chartered, as part of efforts to establish USDC as a primary currency for AI-driven transactions.
