Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers are significantly lowering prices to make technology accessible to developers and educators. Unitree Robotics released the R1 model in July 2025 for ¥39,900 (approximately $5,900), which is more than half the cost of previous models priced between $13,500 and $16,000.

Noetix Robotics entered the market in late 2025 with the Bumi model, priced at ¥9,998 (about $1,380). The robot saw rapid sales after being listed on JD.com, indicating strong demand among professional users.

The R1 model features 26 joints and multimodal AI capable of processing visual, audio, and text inputs simultaneously. The low cost of these robots is driven by localized supply chains, with over 90% of core components sourced domestically in China.

In 2025, Chinese companies shipped over 14,000 humanoid robots, surpassing Western competitors. Unitree and AGIBot each delivered more than 5,000 units that year, dominating the global delivery market.

Unitree Robotics is currently pursuing a public listing and has expanded its international sales through AliExpress as of 2026.
