Chinese artificial intelligence firms DeepSeek and Moonshot AI are securing significant capital ahead of their planned public listings. DeepSeek is currently finalizing a funding round that could reach ¥100 billion, equivalent to $15 billion. This figure exceeds the company's initial target of ¥50 billion, or $7.5 billion, following strong investor interest.

Key investors in the DeepSeek round include the technology conglomerate Tencent and the battery manufacturer CATL. The company is preparing for an IPO on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, scheduled for early 2027. To facilitate this process, DeepSeek has engaged CITIC Securities as its advisor.

Moonshot AI has also completed a private funding round, reaching a valuation of approximately $50 billion. The company is targeting an IPO in Hong Kong during the first quarter of 2027. Moonshot AI aims to raise up to $5 billion through this public offering as it expands its market presence.
