The robot was unveiled in Yichang, Hubei Province. Developers describe it as the world's first machine featuring a fully domestic Chinese electronic architecture, encompassing hardware, operating systems, and control software.
The system architecture separates AI computations from physical motor control while maintaining a link between them. This design aims to enhance reliability and minimize the risk of mechanical or software failures.
During testing, the robot was subjected to simulated joint damage, cyberattacks, and malware infections. According to the project team, the machine continued to operate safely by isolating faulty components.
The project aligns with China's broader strategy to control the entire software and hardware stack in robotics. Detailed technical specifications for the new robot have not yet been disclosed.
