China Unicom's research subsidiary, China United Network Communications Consulting and Design Institute, has officially launched the Quantum Secure Phone 2.0. The device is designed for high-security sectors, including government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and the financial industry, building upon the first generation released in May 2025.

The 2.0 version maintains the core architecture of a custom enterprise-grade handset, the Quantum Secret Message service, and a quantum-secure SIM card. The hardware is based on domestic flagship models and features 100 percent localization. The SIM card integrates national cryptographic security chips and quantum random number generators to prevent decryption risks.

The new model introduces deep integration with AI capabilities, including on-device offline security risk control and an encrypted voice transcription engine. It also connects to China Unicom's cloud phone services and the UniClaw intelligent agent, ensuring data remains on the device while improving office productivity.

The device provides encrypted communication, secure document editing, and meeting tools. Security features include mandatory watermarking, self-destructing messages, and anti-screenshot protocols. The product is already in commercial use across government, military, and state-owned sectors for tasks such as administrative approval and command dispatching.
