The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the State Administration for Market Regulation, has drafted new guidelines. The proposal focuses on the management of innovative automotive designs and testing procedures.
Vehicles featuring pop-up cockpit structures must comply with existing standards for roof compression strength. Additionally, manufacturers are required to conduct safety assessments covering anti-pinch mechanisms, crash safety, and wind resistance to mitigate potential risks.
The draft mandates that automakers implement technical restrictions to prevent the use of pop-up cockpit features while the vehicle is in motion. These measures aim to ensure that such functions are only operated when the vehicle is stationary.
Starting January 1, 2027, new vehicle models incorporating innovative designs must submit specific technical parameters. These products will be subject to safety and environmental assessments based on new technical guidelines. Failure to provide accurate testing data will result in a denial of official product announcements.
