The model was developed by the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) Public Meteorological Service Center, the Xiong'an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Academy, and Zhipu AI. It is the world's first open-source meteorological own-domain model with hundreds of billions of parameters.
The system is capable of understanding meteorological service own-domain up to the same level of business admission. It can generate content, perform meteorological reasoning and decision-making, and call meteorological tools. Evaluation results show that it outperforms general-purpose models in these areas.
The model has passed the filing with the Cyberspace Administration of China and has demonstrated stability during trial operation. It was officially released in July of this year, and a global open-source plan was launched simultaneously.
The model provides personalized, intelligent weather information queries, service suggestions, and risk warnings for the public. Its international version is integrated into the 'Mazu' intelligent warning solution, providing global users with intelligent Q&A, weather queries, and risk analysis in Chinese and English.
