The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has identified 30 mobile applications and mini-programs for violating personal data collection and usage regulations. The inspection was conducted in accordance with the Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, and the Regulations on the Management of Network Data Security.

Six applications, including Flow Fit and Scooter Recitation, failed to disclose their data collection rules. Four services, such as iNAP Care and English-Chinese Translation, were cited for forcing or frequently requesting unnecessary permissions. Nine apps, including GPS Acreage Meter, did not accurately list their data collection practices or SDK usage.

Eleven applications, including Hongjuan Ledu and Daochen Zhiyun, failed to provide effective account deletion features. The CAC requires all affected operators to complete rectifications within 15 working days from the date of the announcement and submit reports on their compliance status.

The authorities will verify the reported changes and may impose further penalties based on the outcome of these rectifications. This action is part of a broader 2026 special campaign on personal information protection, coordinated by the CAC, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security.
