The National Supercomputing Internet of China has reached a user base of 1.7 million, with 270 million computing tasks processed to date. These figures were announced by Sugon vice president Cao Zhengnan at the China Computing Power Conference 2026.
The infrastructure currently integrates over 3.5 million CPU cores and more than 250,000 GPU accelerators. Domestic hardware accounts for over 95% of the total available computing resources within the network.
Daily activity on the platform averages 300,000 tasks, with peak loads exceeding 1 million operations per day. The system supports diverse applications, including AI model training, scientific research, and industrial modeling.
The platform features a marketplace hosting over 880 service providers. Launched in 2023, the project aims to unify distributed computing centers into a single ecosystem, allowing users to access resources without individual center integration.
Growth has been rapid, with the user count rising from 1 million in January 2026 to 1.7 million by September. This represents an increase of approximately 700,000 registered participants in less than a year.
