The 15th InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin, held from September 22 to 25, hosted over 3,000 companies from 59 countries. More than 200 Chinese enterprises participated in the event, showcasing 180 global product debuts with a focus on artificial intelligence and new energy technologies.
A new generation of Chinese smart subway trains made its global debut at the exhibition. The train features embodied intelligence, utilizing over 600 sensors, cameras, and radar systems. An onboard computing platform processes this data to identify anomalies and predict potential faults in real time.
The train design incorporates lightweight materials and integrated systems to improve energy efficiency. These technical advancements aim to enhance operational safety and reduce overall power consumption for urban rail transit networks.
In addition to the subway train, China presented a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive. The engine achieves a hydrogen utilization rate exceeding 98 percent and requires 15 to 20 minutes for refueling. It is designed for non-electrified rail lines and station shunting operations.
