Chery's Omoda brand has unveiled the Omoda X concept vehicle, which features a new 'cyber mecha' design language. This aesthetic approach, previously seen on the Omoda 4, emphasizes a rugged and powerful exterior, characterized by thick body cladding and a high-clearance stance.
The vehicle is engineered for urban driving with off-road capabilities, boasting a ground clearance of 200 mm. It supports a roof load of up to 75 kg and is designed with a towing capacity of 1800 kg. The exterior is equipped with high-sidewall all-terrain tires to handle various road conditions.
Inside, the Omoda X includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central display. Physical controls remain for climate, seat heating, and ventilation. The cabin offers 39 storage compartments, and the proprietary X-MODE system allows drivers to customize vehicle performance settings.
Safety features include an infrared night vision system capable of detecting wildlife or hazards up to 90 meters away. While the concept showcases these technologies, Chery has not yet confirmed whether the Omoda X will enter mass production.
