Chery Automobile has unveiled its Globalization 3.0 strategy, which involves repositioning the Jetour brand as a high-end off-road manufacturer. This shift aims to differentiate Jetour from the core Chery brand, which will focus on deeper integration into global markets.
Jetour was originally launched as a mass-market brand for domestic and international travel. By August 2026, the brand had recorded cumulative deliveries of 1,704,415 units in China. It has also gained significant traction in markets such as the Middle East.
The company intends to maintain two distinct premium portfolios. While Exeed will continue to target the conventional luxury segment, Jetour will specialize in high-end off-road vehicles. The brand has already introduced the G700, a full-size plug-in hybrid SUV.
The G700 features a body length of 5,198 mm and a peak power output of 665 kW. It is equipped with a 59.45 kWh battery, providing an electric range of 211 km under WLTP testing conditions.
Li Xueyong, executive vice president of Chery Automobile, has been appointed to lead the Jetour Brand Division. Additionally, Zhang Guibing will oversee the global integration of the core Chery brand, managing design, human resources, and robotics.
